Since its inception in January 1986, Ballet British Columbia has quickly become an internationally respected dance company. Bold, innovative and sophisticated, the company has developed a unique, signature performance style that separates it from its contemporary counterparts around the world.

The BCBC Touring Choir is a four-part, non-liturgical boys choir, one of the few in North America. Over its 35 year history the BCBC has trained over 850 members who have represented Canada on 17 international tours, performing a demanding repertoire spanning centuries, from Gregorian chant to contemporary works.

Carousel Theatre"s commitment is to inspire, enlighten and entertain youth and families with accessible theatrical experiences that develop audiences and artists. We nurture and develop young emerging artists through training and apprenticeship opportunities.

The purpose of "Murals of Hope" is to design and create murals and paintings in key areas of institutions and establishments which deal with the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health of children at risk!!  i.e.hospitals, shelters, group homes, clinics, schools, family and social institutions.

"Disability arts" is a new community, discovering what we have in common, where our voices intersect, how we speak. It is a heady experience."

The "Buddy System" is a dynamic show for younger children featuring songs about expression of feelings, friendship skills, violence prevention, peaceful problem solving, anger management and self-esteem. VAMS has introduced hundreds of adults and children with disabilities to opportunities that provide an outlet for creativity and musical expression. Our role in the artistic community is to provide opportunities for Asian-Canadian actors in artistically and significant roles, to reclaim the Asian stereotypes, to stage productions that provide non-stereotypical roles, to showcase Asian-Canadian cultural themes/stories and to represent the hyphenated Asian on stage in a contemporary setting.

Concerts can include music from chant to folksong, traditional to avant-garde, a cappella to orchestra or jazz trio; Jon Washburn is noted for devising innovative and fascinating programs and unearthing hidden choral treasures. The singers delight in acquiring foreign language skills and have sung in over 35 languages.

Four grand operas each season, featuring top Canadian and international singers and conductors and a touring program of specially adapted operas for young people in schools throughout BC; and a comprehensive education program for all ages in schools and in the community.

A community based, volunteer organization committed to producing sacred arts festivals to enrich communal understanding and appreciation of the sacred arts.
