Leisure, Recreation & Play…
Therapeutic Recreation is a process that utilizes treatment, education and recreation participation to enable persons with physical, cognitive, emotional and/or social limitations to acquire and/or maintain the skills, knowledge and behaviours that will allow them to enjoy their leisure optimally, function independently with the least amount of assistance and participate as fully as possible in society. Therapeutic Recreation intervention is provided by trained professionals in clinical and/or community settings.

The purpose of the GVCC is to promote, and improve conditions for cycling in Greater Victoria by: improving cycling education; facilitating communication between cyclists and government; improving facilities for bicycle use; improving the legal climate for cyclists; encouraging more people to ride bicycles more often; and developing a cycling information base.

We respond to a distress call every 3 days!
From Kayaks to Dragon Boats, to Cruise Ships and Float Planes, Victoria's waterways are getting busier all the time. Whenever there is a marine distress call, highly trained volunteers respond immediately. We drop whatever we are doing in our civilian lives - day or night - don our gear, and put to sea as quickly as possible. Each year we save lives and property, and we keep tragedy at bay. Now we need your help!
About Us:
We are a whistler-based charity whose mission is to operate innovative and sustainable community programs delivering adventure-based for disadvantaged and at-risk youth in the Lower Mainland and Sea-to-Sky corridor. Through established youth agencies, we offer day visits to Whistler Resort in the summer and winter, along with a longer term program which helps successful candidates secure employment and housing in the Whistler area.
