Taking care of British Columbians for more than a century

Since 1967, our Meals on Wheels program has provided hot, nutritious meals and warm, friendly visits to people throughout Vancouver and Richmond. The program, which began with a handful of meals delivered in Kitsilano, now delivers more than 500 meals every weekday. Our program also includes one of Canada's first Chinese Meals on Wheels services, launched in 1996 to provide authentic Asian cuisine and Chinese-speaking volunteers for the region's changing population.

Jesus said, “Feed my sheep.” (Jn 21:15-17)

This Christ-focused ministry started about 25 years ago with just one pot of soup. Now there are over 500 people who line up each Saturday morning at the corner of Main and Powell in Vancouver for a bowl of soup and a hamper of fresh fruit and vegetables. This ministry is made up of volunteers from a variety of churches across the Lower Mainland.

"The Harvest Project is dedicated to those who are experiencing difficult life circumstances. The Harvest assists North Shore residents in transition who require short-term support and are willing to help themselves."

"Taking it to the Streets"

With a stretched out hand, we help those who need us, whether it's a hot meal, clothes, groceries, finding a place to stay, or just someone to listen and counsel them through a difficult time. Lifeline empowers people to improve their lives, not only through assistance, but by giving them hope.

"To show God's love in Christ by working in partnership with the church, community and those in need so that together we achieve wholeness."

The Mustard Seed Street Church began from a prayer closet in a store on Government Street in Victoria. The need of the underprivileged was so great that the ministry expanded to a building on Pandora Avenue. It began its outreach to the community as a church which soon grew to include a food bank, clothing bank, counseling and advocacy service, prison visitation and street ministry.
