“A comprehensive directory of information about cocaine, crack and addiction..
Mission Statement: The purpose of this website is to provide a complete reference library of up-to-date information on cocaine and crack cocaine addiction. Addiction to cocaine and crack is an epidemic in the U.S. and around the world. We hope by offering this important information, it will in some way, help the families and those who suffer from this devastating and ultimately fatal addiction.
Great Information for Youth!

You can learn valuable information about the dangers and risks of drugs and alcohol abuse on this site. As youth, we face peer pressure and life’s pressures on a regular basis. Even though we have our own morals about how we choose to live, such as choosing to use drugs or not, we tend to feel pressure to go against our morals so we don’t “let down our peers, or so we can “fit in. We hope that from this website you can take away information that will help you develop and form good decisions-making skills concerning the topics of drugs and alcohol.

The Truth About Drugs

We are a non-profit public benefit organization headquartered in Los Angeles, California that makes available educational materials in dozens of languages across 125 countries so youth and adults can make informed decisions to be drug-free.  Through our international drug prevention network we work with youth, parents, educators, volunteer organizations and government agencies, providing information, advice and coordination.  In short, we work with anyone interested in helping people lead lives free from drug abuse.

Through a worldwide network of volunteers 50 million educational handouts have been distributed, tens of thousands of drug awareness events have been held in some 60 countries and Truth About Drugs educational films have been aired on some 180 TV stations and in more than 170 public venues.  These materials and activities have enabled people around the world to learn the destructive effects of drugs and decide for themselves not to use them.

The Foundation’s materials are widely credited with significantly reducing drug use among school-age youth.

Great Stuff!
One goal of AMPS was to give young teens a clearer picture about alcohol use among their peers. Teens tend to overestimate how much kids their age really drink. When they learn more accurate information, some of the pressure to drink can subside. Other goals of AMPS were to help kids learn skills to resist pressure to drink and to give them reasons not to drink.
The conversation starts here.

Parents can profoundly influence their children to make healthy choices.

It is a surprise to many parents that they are the most powerful influence in a child’s life — greater than peers, popular music, television, celebrities and the media! Our research shows that kids who consistently learn about the risks of drugs from their parents are 50% less likely to use drugs and alcohol than those who do not; yet, only 30% of teens report learning a lot from their parents.

Talking to your kids about the risks of drugs and alcohol isn’t as hard as you think. We’re here to help make talking even easier. We’ve got free, easy-to-use, research-based tools and tips to help you have ongoing conversations with your kids to keep them healthy and drug-free.
