Glory House for Women
Welcome to Resurrection House for men and Glory House for women, two Christian based recovery facilities of the "Hope for Freedom Society".
Our facilities provide a safe and caring drug, alcohol and violence free environment. In this setting, addicts and alcoholics can begin the process of recovery from their addictions. Clients are able to address the effects and behaviours of previous abusive lifestyles, as well as work towards becoming responsible, productive members of society. It is our belief that, given the tools and the help of God, any addict can overcome the disease of addiction if they so choose.
Facilities are staffed by dedicated, full time, professionally trained counsellors and facilitators, together with a staff of volunteers and resource people in related fields. We provide daily access to structured treatment, with group, and one-on-one counselling for addiction and related problems, drug and alcohol education, life skills courses in communication, Spiritual direction, and motivation are also provided.
Based on the Biblical principles embodied in the Twelve Steps of Narcotics Anonymous (N.A.), the building of viable support systems as alternatives to previous living and social environments is an important part of our structure. Our focus is not only helping the addict "get clean", but also "stay clean". Phone: (604) 464-0475

For more information please call: (250) 376-5621 | | Be BOLD ...Be STRONG Jos 1:9 We currently have four men’s recovery houses in and around the city of Abbotsford, B.C. Each home is able to accommodate up to 10 men. The room and board costs for each man is $550.00 per month. Everything is included with exception of personal hygiene items such as razors, toothbrushes, combs, shaving cream, deodorant etc. . The "Junior House" is the intake house. This is mainly where we are "hands on". Men come to us from various stages of their recovery. Some come directly from the streets - they are detoxing. Some come from other "recovery houses". Some are court-ordered to our homes and some come from other treatment centers. There is a time of assessment to see how they are doing and what they want. They usually stay at this home for up to 60 days (some longer - case by case basis). The "Middle House" is just that. These men are either in part-time studies in school or working part-time. They are pretty grounded in their programs and have a support team in place; they are now members of a Church. Their stay here is dependant on a few things. They may stay as long as they would like as long as they are doing well as far as their participation in their program is concerned while in residence. However, they may not work full-time from this house. If they want to do this, they must move to the senior house. All work is subject to approval, by Leadership, and based on participation and attitude. The "Senior House" is the full-time working or schooling house. They are learning independent living while being dependant on God. Their stay is however long they need to. Phone: 778-241-1599 or 604-556-7390 Email: joshuahouse@shaw.ca

PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Vancouver Island Therapeutic Community (VITC) is a four month residential substance abuse treatment program where residents have the opportunity to make changes in their lives.
There are four phases to the program that assist in developing skills for Recovery Management, Re-entry planning and linkages to Recovering Communities. The aim of treatment involves a change in lifestyle and personal identity. The primary approach to treatment is the community as a healer versus individual focus. Treatment activities emphasize learning, doing therapy rather than getting therapy. Our goal is to provide a safe and healing environment that will prepare residents to successfully live in their communities. WHAT WE LIVE BY – OUR PHILOSOPHY Vancouver Island Therapeutic Community Philosophy We have made a commitment to change ourselves by creating a respectful, clean and sober environment, where we will heal our minds, bodies, and spirits. We will grow through individual and community challenges, changing our behaviours, thoughts, attitudes and beliefs. We will succeed and take our rightful place in or communities.
| | For Men only - Vancouver, BC Together We Can Society (TWC) has emerged in the last decade as one of British Columbia’s leading residential treatment programs for men challenged by drug and/or alcohol addiction. Located in Vancouver, clients live as a part of a supportive residential community where they participate in group therapy and an integrated treatment program. Our goal is to help clients discover new and healthy beliefs which are the foundation for recovery. The first stage residential program accommodates 42 males aged 19 years or older, who share five comfortable homes in a quiet residential neighbourhood.
Clean & Sober aftercare living:
TWC’s second stage recovery homes facilitate a successful integration into society for men who are ready to go back to school or return to the work force. We support three second stage homes – most within walking distance of our main office and first stage program facilities.
Under the supervision of a TWC staff member, our transitional homes provide a safe, abstinence-based environment for graduating clients. Residents can reintegrate into their communities from a place of consistent support and at the same time access a variety of TWC resources. In return, they must adhere to simple rules and continue to attend 12 step program meetings. Residents of the second stage homes also contribute to their room and board.
We impose no set limit on the length of participation in our second stage program. Recognizing that recovery is an ongoing process, we urge clients to stay as long as they feel is necessary. | | “A Safe Place to Start" Our purpose is to provide a safe haven for alcoholics and drug addicts who seek to recover. Founded on the idea that recovery does not happen "all alone," we offer our residents an opportunity to take the first difficult steps of recovery with other like-minded individuals by providing an alcohol and drug-free residential environment. For many residents, this is their first adult contact with a drug and alcohol-free way of living. Turning Point operates three fully functioning recovery houses. These facilities are licensed to accommodate 31 people in total, 22 in Vancouver (Co-ed), and 9 in Richmond (Men Only). The average stay at Turning Point is three months. | | Lasting Relief for Troubled Teens Venture Academy's Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program provides a full spectrum of substance abuse treatment, residential care, counselling, and support services to male and female youth ages 14 to 18 who may be experiencing difficulties managing their lives due to alcohol or drug abuse. Youth reside in professionally staffed and supported home-stay residences while participating in treatment. Our residential treatment programs are provided as an effective alternative to boot camp for troubled teens in Canada or boarding schools for troubled teens in Canada. The one-to-one therapeutic treatment model is one of the most important benefits for parents accessing our residential treatment program for troubled teens. Venture Academy also offers a 30 Day Assessment and Intervention Program for troubled and out of control teens in Canada that can assist with answering the question of the need for a long term commitment and at the same time provides a number of immediate benefits including relief, for troubled teens and their families.
